Theater Civic Theatres The Civic Theatres is Orlando's oldest venue for live productions with nearly 80 years of tradition. The Civic Theatres is a complex with three separate stages and rooms.
One theatre hosts Broadway-type productions, another hosts family-oriented performances, and the third hosts sophisticated, smaller productions. A small art gallery is also included within the complex. The Orlando Symphony has called it home in the past, but the Carr Performing Arts Center is more often the host to large touring productions. SAK Comedy Lab Enlivens the heart of Downtown Orlando with 10 shows every week in its 200-seat theatre that was voted "Best Place To See Live Comedy", and "Best Comedy Club" 398 W. The variety of performances includes broadway musicals, Shakespeare, American classics, and new productions. The University Theatre performs throughout the year with most perfomances occurring on the
