Theater

Civic Theatres
The Civic Theatres is Orlando's oldest venue for live productions with nearly 80 years of tradition.  The Civic Theatres is a complex with three separate stages and rooms. One theatre hosts Broadway-type productions, another hosts family-oriented performances, and the third hosts sophisticated, smaller productions. A small art gallery is also included within the complex. Most of the productions are presented on the weekends with occasional mid-week performances.

Bob Carr Performing Arts Center
This venue hosts a wide variety of production. The Orlando Symphony has called it home in the past, but the Carr Performing Arts Center is more often the host to large touring productions. Broadway musicals and plays are the usual suspects with many family-oriented productions as well.

University Theatre
The campus theater of the University of Central Florida is popular with local residents because of the variety of plays, the quality of the student acting, and the reasonable prices of the tickets.  The variety of performances includes broadway musicals, Shakespeare, American classics, and new productions.  The University Theatre performs throughout the year with most perfomances occurring on the weekends.
